FRIDA LAS VEGAS X 'THE STUDIO' @ ART GALLERY OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA

I was commissioned by the Art Gallery of South Australia and the James and Diana Ramsay Foundation to design and theme ‘The Studio’ space for the duration of the ‘Radical Textiles’ exhibition.

‘The Studio’ is the Art Gallery of South Australia’s creative activity space, open to gallery visitors of all ages to engage with the themes of each major exhibition held at the gallery.

The FRIDA LAS VEGAS incarnation of ‘The Studio’ is a colourful, inviting space where budding designers can draw, colour, cut and paste to their heart's content. Through the hands-on activities developed especially for the space, I encourage experimentation with textile pattern principles in my signature Pop Art style: bright colours, lines, repeat patterns, geometric shapes and personal iconography.

The Studio: FRIDA LAS VEGAS is open from November 23rd 2024 - 30th March 2025 at the Art Gallery of South Australia as part of the Radical Textiles major exhibition.
