UMMM WHAT AN EXTREME TREAT TO MEET MY CREATIVE IDOL KEN DONE!

Ken Done is one of Australia's most iconic and recognisable artists. He's also my penultimate creative hero, lifelong inspiration and one helluva nice bloke to boot.

Since I first lovingly gazed at my first doona cover circa 1990, there has NEVER been a gloriously colour-drenched Ken Done painting or illustration I didn't love the motza out of. 

Recently, I was lucky enough to spend a morning with Ken, where we had a cuppa at his beloved Ken Done Gallery in Sydney's The Rocks and chatted about illuminating topics such as why pink and orange is the greatest colour combination ever, Commerciality Vs. Creative Credibility and the importance of putting heart & emotion into one's work - always.

I am forever a changed woman. Birds of a (yellow) feather flock together!
